The energy is building with the Iowa Caucus only three days away! Today Hillary will be joined by Bill and Chelsea to say thank you to the scores of volunteers canvassing across the State. It will be positively electric.

Going door to door, talking to citizens about their concerns and hopes for the future, it’s hard to reconcile that hope and commitment with the statistics: only 58.2% of eligible voters voted in the 2012 Presidential election (the all-time high was of 81.8% in 1860!). So please, get out and vote!

But here in Iowa, enthusiastic action is the word, with volunteers coming not only from across the country, but around the world. While minutes are hard to come by with so much still to do, today I took 45 seconds to catch up with Mattia, who came all the way from Italy to work on the US Campaign.

“It’s really different from campaigning in Italy. People are way more friendly,” says Mattia, Masters Student at NYU and contributing writer to Cosmopolitan Magazine.  “It’s crazy, fun, and we are working hard. It’s been amazing working together.”

So there you have it, straight from Dubuque Iowa, where the mom and the millennial come together. We took different routes to get here, but are working together for the same vision.
